  • We know the power of a good deep clean. It’s why our ultrasonic cleaning technology is one of the most important tools in our toolbelt. When used primarily on heat exchangers, the system brings parts to like-new performance by reaching interstitial areas. Once completed, equipment has longer run times, improved heat transfer coefficient rates and better volume throughout. Take a look at the difference in these before and after photos!

  • College interns from across the United States have been spending their summers at a variety of HPC Industrial and Clean Harbors locations, engaging in practical, hands-on training. In honor of National Intern Day today, we wanted to thank the approximately 70 students – representing more than 50 colleges and universities – for all they’ve done during their internships. They quickly became key members of their teams, and their contributions have had a positive impact across all our lines of business. We wish all our interns the very best during the next stages of their careers! #interns #nationalinternday #training

  • This week, we visited longtime client Formosa Plastics in Texas for a little lunch and learn. We brought our drones, CTCS thermal oxidizer, pigging rig, autoblaster, pad blaster, LDAR and CARBER specialty mechanical service while serving up some of our favorites – Cajun pastalaya, boudin, crab stuffed jalapeños, BBQ bacon wrapped shrimp and, of course, fried baby back ribs. Thanks for having us, Formosa!

  • One of the many great qualities of our employees is they don't hesitate to help others in times of need. After Hurricane Beryl hit Southeast Texas, father-daughter duo, Health and Safety Supervisors Kevin Monclova and Candice Monclova (photo 1), along with Kevin’s wife, Jody (photo 5), set out in their neighborhood to assist with clearing fallen trees and debris from the roads. The Monclovas regularly do this this type of work for their community following hurricanes and tropical/ice storms. “As long as I can remember, I have always wanted to help in situations like this,” Kevin said. “If I have the tools and ability to do so, I’m going to do it.”

  • Our innovation center in Ohio is where all the magic happens. We regularly meet with groups of field employees to talk about new technology and ideas that can improve the work we do for customers. Following our latest session, we’re now planning to roll out probe kits (third picture below) that we’ll run through heat exchangers after cleaning to ensure they meet standards for inspection. Thanks to our dedicated team for coming up with this fantastic solution!

  • Our CARBER Specialty Mechanical crews have already executed multiple jobs using our new Aerial Bundle Extractors (ABE). Bundle extraction is an exciting new offering that rounds out HPC's already robust inventory of services. The ABE's state-of-the-art wireless control system allows the extractor tech and assistant to streamline the job, improving the efficiency of maintaining the heat exchanger on site and greatly reducing associated safety risks.   Over the past several weeks, jobs have been completed around the state of Texas and into Louisiana without incident, and we look forward to using our ABEs on job sites in the future.

  • Last week, we demonstrated the efficiency of our new CTCS equipment and just recently, it was used by a group of HPC employees to complete a fully automated turnaround for a client in Oklahoma. Without extracting the exchanger bundle, the system cleaned 2,800 tubes and was part of how we finished the job ahead of schedule. A big congrats and thank you to our team for their continued hard work and commitment to safety.

  • Our computerized tube cleaning system (CTCS) is not only safe due to its hands-free component, it’s extremely efficient, allowing users to clean heat exchanger tubes faster and better than ever before. Don’t believe us? Check out the video below. Our CTCS equipment is on the left, and another company's is on the right, where employees must intervene multiple times to straighten out the lances. The proof is in the pudding.
