Matt joined Huckleberry House’s YOP Team as a Youth Outreach Specialist about 1 year ago. He advocates for the youth, shows solace, compassion, and authenticity, and has a great impact on the youth we serve. A colleague writes, “Matt has the ability to walk in the room and make his other co-workers feel happy and appreciated and shows up in whatever capacity a situation calls. Matt is the perfect example of someone who puts their heart and mind into their work.” Matt says, “I have been working in the human services field for most of my life. I feel like in this business you have to be an ambassador, first, if the person you are in your daily life and 2nd, of the place for which you work. Although the action of providing services may seem monotonous at times, it will never damper the value I place on the daily opportunity to affect a young person's life.
