We had such an energizing gathering of nuns, investors, advisors, foundations, changemakers in Seattle today. I was truly humbled by the power and effectiveness of Molly Harmon’s organizing… thank you to so many people who helped us spread the word. The 25 folks who showed up went deep into a number of areas, including Church land transitions; supporting BIPOC managers; employee ownership and policy; next generation inherited wealth holders, and their decision making. Super grateful for Humanize Wealth - for their co-sponsorship & hosting us in their space. Seattle’s first Pride took place 50 years ago in June 1974. More than 200 LGBTQ+ people gathered publicly for the first time - no longer willing to hide or be denied the right to exist. The echoing cry was “NOW” - which has become the commemorative theme of Seattle Pride 50. At Humanize Wealth, we believe that we are at the crossroads of a massive opportunity for using wealth, and its associated power, to drive positive social outcomes.
