While previously endangered, Humpback whales have made a dramatic recovery since global whaling bans took effect – in tandem with restrictions on harvesting natural food sources like sand eels and menhaden. These whales, captured on video by our CEO Bob King, were feeding on large schools of sand eels which hatch from the sea bottom this time of year.
