I am so excited to announce that I received my Senior Professional Career Coach Certification from the International Association of Career Coaches. For those of you who know me, training and coaching have always been a passion of mine. One of my first jobs was actually as an assistant karate instructor when I was 14 years old 🥋 Something about watching people grow and understand different learnings brought me a sense of purpose and joy. Before deciding to pursue my degree in business management I was actually considering to be a teacher or therapist 👩🏫 Three months ago I made the decision to pursue obtaining my certification to become a certified career coach. I worked tirelessly to fulfill the requirements needed to obtain my certification while working my full-time job and taking care of my 1 year old 👦 Now I get to bridge my love for training and coaching with my degree in business to support others 🙌 I'd like to give a special shoutout to Cara Heilmann and Olesia Iakivchyk for their guidance and knowledge during this process.

Uncover your next professional opportunity. Gain a respected voice at the table. Live in purpose. Build lasting confidence. | Capacity Development | Emotional Intelligence and Performance | Succession Planning | CHRO

Lesson Learned: Go for it. Recently, I was reminded of this old adage, “When you have a pocket full of nothing, you have nothing to lose”. What does this mean to you? I realize there are multiple interpretations of this saying. So let me explain it from my perspective. Maybe you can relate. If you find yourself in a place of hard transition or unexpected change (professional or personal), consider this. When you are in a position of loss or have nothing left (an unwanted job ending, a divorce, your highest weight, or any other surprise ending), I see it as your pocket full of nothing. Sometimes life can break you down and unfortunately leave you in a situation where you are between a rock and a hard place. Maybe you can relate. It is in that place of emptiness or place of flux, you have to decide your next step, your new direction, or your next move. I see this as your nothing to lose time. In your nothing to lose moment, you are in the best place to go for it. It is in this time, you can find your purpose, what you want for your next (career, relationship, or situation). When you have nothing to lose, you have everything to gain. I see it as the ultimate opportunity to re-invent, re-create, and re-present yourself. You can become your best self. Today, do you find yourself with a pocket full of nothing and an opportunity to live in your soul’s purpose? How do you see this place of transition? Is it a positive possibility or a place of resentment? Are you ready and willing to reframe your perspective? It is not easy. But I know it can be done. After 30 years of marriage, I found myself in a place that I had not expected and I had nothing left in my pockets. It was a difficult and scary time, full of uncertainty and fear. But with the help of wonderful mentors, coaches, and counselors, I was able to turn my nothing to lose into My Soul In Bloom. Changing my perspective gave me the power to transform and become the best version of me. I am finally living in my soul’s purpose. But my journey is far from over. So, let’s grow and become together. Remember, you have nothing to lose. #questionforgroup #purpose #coaching

  • In today's competitive job market, companies are always looking for innovative ways to attract top talent. One emerging trend that is gaining traction is the "gamification" of the recruitment process. In his latest insightful post, International Association of Career Coaches career coach Brian Miller explores how more and more employers are incorporating game elements into their hiring process. Miller explains how gamification can make applying for jobs more engaging and fun for candidates while also allowing companies to better assess skills and identify ideal fits. It is curious how this impacts the world of career coaching. This is a must-read piece that will give you a glimpse into the future of hiring!

Game on in Recruitment! Imagine transforming the mundane into the extraordinary. That's exactly what gamification in recruitment does. By infusing the hiring process with game-like elements, companies are not just filling positions; they're engaging candidates in a way that's memorable, interactive, and downright fun. But here's the twist: It's not just about making recruitment enjoyable. Gamification taps into deep-rooted psychology. It leverages the human love for challenges, rewards, and recognition, turning the job search into a journey of achievement and feedback. This approach can reveal a candidate's skills, problem-solving abilities, and cultural fit in ways traditional methods can't. Consider the possibilities: - A puzzle that tests strategic thinking. - A virtual reality scenario that simulates real job challenges. - Leaderboards that foster healthy competition among applicants. This isn't just innovation; it's a revolution in attracting top talent. Candidates get to experience the company culture firsthand, while employers gain insights beyond the resume. But here's the question: Is your organization ready to play? Engage, interact, and innovate. Let's discuss how gamification can transform your recruitment strategy. Share your thoughts below!

Community is everything! I love being involved in my career coaching community. It's a community where I am challenged and inspired to be better. We meet weekly and share our highs and our lows as well as targeted questions. This week, one of the things we talked about is how being in a group makes us better. It made me realize how much I have learned from my colleagues. Grateful to you all! Thankful to Cara Heilmann and International Association of Career Coaches for creating a safe space to sharpen my skill as a #CareerCoach. #HawaiiCareerCoach #InterviewPrep #Resume

  • What's one thing that has changed the course of your life? For many IACC coaches, it's getting certified as a career coach. Not all students move on to launch their own business, in fact many choose not too! That's because a career coaching certification can be incredibly versatile and helps graduates along a variety of paths including... Working for coaching organizations. Working in talent or HR for a company. Working as a college counselor. Using the training to help bolster services as a life coach. Using the training for their professional growth. And of course, working for themselves as a career coach. Interested in what else can be done with your certification? Read our updated article here: https://zurl.co/Wx1k 🎤 Got a story of what your certification helped you achieve? Share it in the comments. 📌 Repost to share with others.
