Claims go inactive with two weeks of inactivity. If you return to work, work for a while, and then become unemployed again, you must reopen your claim the week for which you want payment. Often, claimants wait until Sunday to reopen and try to claim for that week. Since the claim was never reopened, you are unable to receive payment for that week.
