Help Us Welcome Our New Board Members! Craig Cornforth brings a unique perspective to the board of directors, fuelled by his deeply personal journey through gambling addiction and its consequential harms. Craig’s personal story of a multi-platform gambling addiction led to a loss of his job, home, relationship, and severe mental health battles. With his last bet dated October 7th, 2017, Craig has since been using his lived experience – initially in a personal and subsequently a professional capacity – to drive positive change within the industry. With Craig Cornforth, the board gains a compassionate advocate whose unwavering dedication to leveraging his own experiences for the greater good epitomizes the ethos of transformative leadership. https://loom.ly/zOi5p_Y

Since 1984, the International Gambling Counselor Certification Board (IGCCB) has offered voluntary National/International certifications to those professionals working in the field of clinical treatment of individuals with at-risk, problematic, and disordered gambling and their families/concerned others. Below we've provided a summary of our certification offerings at this time as well as the professionals who would benefit most from each. ICGC-I: This certification is designed for clinicians and other helping professionals working directly with individuals who identify gambling as a significant feature of their presenting treatment issue. ICGC-II: This advanced certification builds on the training of the ICGC-I, and identifies clinicians with over 2,000 hours of experience supporting those who gamble and those affected by problem gambling. BACC: The Board Approved Clinical Consultant credential identifies supervisory-level clinicians with advanced experience working in a clinical capacity. These individuals are involved in case consultations and continuing education efforts to support helping professionals pursuing other credentials through the IGCCB. CGT: This certification informs consumers of gambling disorder training and organizations that fund and offer training. Certified Trainers provide education on current, evidence-based knowledge and skills for clinicians working with those who gamble and those affected by another person's gambling. ICOGS: The ICOGS is designed for counselors working with clients with primary Substance Use and/or Mental Health disorders who want to develop competency in addressing gambling as a co-occurring issue in these populations. IGDC: This certificate aims to support helping professionals in addressing video game-related issues in their current outreach, prevention, and clinical settings. Clergy: The Clergy / Lay Minister Certification is designed to provide basic knowledge about gambling issues, enhance skills for recognizing gambling harm, and provide information for the supportive loved ones of a person who has a gambling disorder to assist in recovery efforts.
