We are so inspired by Tracy’s story and the power of Kandu’s program in helping patients navigate and take control of their recovery. Tracy is an opera singer, artist, and activist based in San Francisco. At a pivotal point in her career, she had a #stroke. Through the support of Kandu, Tracy was able to take control of her recovery and find connection, community and the tools to achieve her goals. Within weeks, Tracy traveled to New York and performed in her career debut at the Metropolitan Opera. Read her full story here: https://lnkd.in/g_-xfF8J. Kandu Health™ is an Imperative Care company that provides tech-enabled healthcare services to people recovering from stroke – follow their page to learn more!

The #ImperativeCare team came together to close out #StrokeAwarenessMonth with our annual Stroke Month Celebration, acknowledging the impact of our mission and day-to-day work on the lives of patients. We listened to inspiring speeches from Ariel Klein Sutton and Fred Khosravi, celebrated our milestone of treating 45,000 patients, and got the opportunity to meet Gerardo, a 26-year-old stroke survivor who was able to return to his normal life and live independently after being treated with our technologies. While Stroke Month has come to a end, our commitment to #ElevatingPatientCare continues.

The #ImperativeCare team took a break from their desks for our F.A.S.T. & Fit Walk, which acknowledges both #EmployeeHealthandFitnessDay + #StrokeAwarenessMonth. We enjoyed the warm spring weather and got our bodies moving. Special thanks to Imperative Care Stroke GM Ariel Klein Sutton for kicking us off with a discussion around the importance of knowing the #SignsOfStroke.

Thank you to the Stroke Awareness Foundation for hosting its annual #FightStrokeWalk to raise awareness around #stroke and bring our local community together. Our team had a wonderful time and enjoyed the gorgeous Sunday weather at the San Jose Rose Garden. #StrokeAwarenessMonth

We had a blast at our annual #BringYourKidstoWorkDay yesterday! This year, we welcomed nearly 30 special guests to our office to see the important work their parents are doing to #ElevatePatientCare. Each business had a station with interactive activities showing how our devices work, where they go in the body, and so much more. Can't wait for next year!

Imperative Care is proud to support Diversity by Doing (DxD) HealthTech and all the important work it does to educate and empower students who are underrepresented in the health technology industry. This program focuses on opening doors and providing valuable hands-on learning within the medtech industry through mentorship and allyship. Thank you to Phil Pesta, Ariel Klein Sutton, Naomi Moustakas Pritikin, Isabella Yeager, David Blum, Julia Fox, Yi Yang, and Mathurin Boutte for your participation in this year's program!
👏🏾👏🏿👏🏼 Congratulations to the students who completed the 2024 DxD Pathways in Health Technology program this weekend! We learned about endometriosis, stroke, sudden cardiac arrest, hypertension and atherosclerosis as each team gave a presentation about a medical problem, how different populations are impacted, and a potential health technology solution. We were also delighted to hear about the students upcoming summer internships and their plans for transferring to four-year colleges. We are so proud of each and every one of you, and can't wait to see what you do next! Thank you to all of the mentors and volunteers from Element Science, Inc., Imperative Care, Intuitive, Recor Medical and Shockwave Medical who gave up their Saturdays to mentor and guide these students over the last few months. This would not have been possible without you!
