Last week, in observance of #NationalGolfDay, the PGA TOUR returned to Washington, D.C. to highlight the significant impact of golf on communities throughout the country. The PGA TOUR utilized its platform to bring awareness and support to the mental health needs of citizens, children, veterans and families. In partnership with Netflix, the PGA TOUR hosted a Lunch & Learn on May 10 where congressional members and staffers were invited to a screening of the “Mind Game” episode in Netflix’s latest Full Swing series. Complementing the screening that featured PGA TOUR golfers Wyndham Clark and Joel Dahmen and the benefits of mental health resources on their journeys was a panel discussion with renowned sports psychologist Julie Elion who is featured in the episode; Dr. Jessica Gomez, Executive Director, Momentous Institute; Len Mattiace, PGA TOUR golfer/philanthropist; and Alex Baldwin, President, Korn Ferry Tour.
