We had an incredible day at our annual iDS-U all-company meeting! It was a blast connecting with teammates from every iDS office. Our team had the chance to compete with coworkers Family Feud style with iDS trivia facts and had the opportunity to hear from a guest speaker about the importance of impactful design for schools. We also broke into teams to partake in a design charette exploring what outdoor learning environments could look like for local schools. Here's to another year of growth, innovation, and collaboration at iDS!

What an incredible day at the Piper High School Open House! The excitement was palpable as the Piper community came together to explore and celebrate the brand-new building. Seeing everyone interact with the new space and share their enthusiasm was truly inspiring. Here's to new beginnings in this amazing facility!

Excitement was in the air at the brand-new Rushton Elementary in Mission, Kansas as they celebrated the 1st day of school earlier this week! All of us at iDS are honored to have collaborated once again with the Shawnee Mission School District on this incredible project. Witnessing the smiles and awe as students, parents and teachers explored their new space was truly heartwarming. We can't wait to see how the Rushton community makes the most of this beautiful new environment. Wishing everyone an amazing first year in their new school!

We’re excited to showcase the progress on the long-range facility plan for North St. Francois County R-I School District, highlighting our dedication to enhancing their growing community! incite Design Studio partnered with the district to bring numerous improvements to life. The district has seen significant upgrades, including secured entrances at all schools, renovations to administration and bathrooms at the high school, and acoustical upgrades at multiple schools. Kitchen equipment has been upgraded throughout the district, with track repairs and playground replacements also completed. HVAC, roofing, and mechanical systems have been improved, and ADA accessibility enhancements have been made across several schools. Performing arts centers and sound systems have been updated to support the needs of students and the community. We’re excited to see these upgrades positively impact the Bonne Terre community and support the district’s mission to provide a safe, modern, and inclusive learning environment for all students. We're excited to share the completion of the brand-new athletic facility at Cape Girardeau High School! Working with Cape Girardeau Public Schools, we designed a state-of-the-art PEMB athletic facility that elevates the high school sports experience. This 44,000 sq. ft. facility, constructed in two phases, includes locker rooms, staff offices, a treatment room, storage areas, and a versatile field house with turf spanning the width of a football field. The field house is equipped for multi-sport training, featuring a divider curtain, retractable batting/pitching cages, and soccer/football nets. With easy access for athletes and equipment through large overhead doors, this facility is ready to serve the needs of the community and students alike. We’re proud of our continued partnership with Cape Girardeau Public Schools and thrilled to see the community already enjoying this incredible space! Congratulations to Perry County School District #32 on the completion of the brand-new Perry County Middle School! We are incredibly proud to have partnered with the district on this exciting project. This 55,868 square foot facility for grades 6-8 beautifully integrates core classrooms with specialized electives like music, family and consumer sciences, and art, offering a rich educational experience. A standout feature of the new school is the 20,433 square foot FEMA Safe Room, designed to ensure the safety of both middle and high school students during emergencies. The building's thoughtful layout includes a main level with classrooms, administrative areas, a media center, and storm shelter access, while the upper level offers additional classrooms and secondary shelter access. The design emphasizes flexible spaces that foster collaborative learning at each grade level. Our team navigated the challenges of reworking construction phases to align with FEMA grant schedules, ensuring that the project stayed on track. Divided into three phases—FEMA addition, core middle school construction, and parking infrastructure—every detail was meticulously planned and executed to meet the district's evolving needs. The FEMA addition includes crucial amenities such as choir, band, and special education sections. The Perry County Middle School stands as a shining example of collaborative innovation and a testament to the district’s unwavering commitment to excellence in learning environments. We are honored to have been a part of creating a space that reflects the dedication of the district to its students and community. Here's to many years of learning and growth in this fantastic new space!

Happy National Intern Day! We've had an incredible time working with our talented interns at iDS over the past few months. From collaborating on exciting projects to getting to know them better over office lunches, their contributions have been invaluable. In our OP office, Claire and Shannon had a friendly "battle of the interns" with a KU vs. K-State rivalry, adding some spirited fun to our workdays. Meanwhile, Mya in our KC office received her final send-off as she prepares to charge back to school. Thank you, Claire, Shannon, and Mya, for all your hard work and dedication.
