Insights on #Banking Technology Investment #Banks made significant strides in technology, with total spending estimated at $60 billion, although the actual figure could range from $45 billion to $85 billion. A substantial portion of this investment was in Capital Expenditure (#CapEx), which accounted for $39 billion or 65% of the total spend. Operating Expenditure (#OpEx) made up the remaining $21 billion, representing 35%. IT operations emerged as the largest segment, absorbing $26 billion or 43% of the overall tech budget. In contrast, new projects received a smaller share, accounting for just 26%.
