In 2023 Connecticut passed Public Act #23-205 requiring an examination of existing home visiting, childcare, family resource centers, and healthcare resources available within high poverty, low opportunity census tracts. Researchers at Innovations Institute and UConn School of Social Work — as part of The Connecticut Office of Early Childhood Partnership — developed an interactive map to help identify and study some of these areas. The map shows the location of active child care, family resource centers, and select healthcare sites in 12 Connecticut towns. In addition to the asset map, the research team also explored how many children and families received child-focused services in Connecticut. This information will be used to inform policy decisions around needed services for families in Connecticut. Access the map, read the report, and learn more about the project: https://lnkd.in/eeTWXpER Congratulations to all who were involved! Margo Candelaria Aaron I. Samantha E.
