Here’s a quick litmus test to see if you have a healthy culture: can your workforce recite your values? Our most recent research revealed that companies with very toxic cultures are three times more likely to say “no” versus those with healthy cultures. Don’t get me wrong. Employees memorizing your values won’t suddenly make your culture healthy. But some other changes potentially will…read my latest article in Human Resource Executive to see what else we've uncovered. https://lnkd.in/ghqX8Ut8 #culture #culturerenovation

What a gift to be in the room to hear everyone share - such a warm and safe space! Thank you all for the hard work Kiera Fernandez and Team Target - listen to the stories, follow the numbers, accept the data. #everyonedoesbetterwheneveryonedoesbetter Right, Michael C. Bush?
Since we started our Growing the Circle forum four years ago, we’ve grounded ourselves in the African proverb, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” This year, in true Growing the Circle fashion, we continued to expand the impact of this annual gathering. We hosted leaders from across Target, practitioners from neighboring companies and community partners for a day of learning and inspiration, exploring the intersection of diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging and community impact. We heard from innovative thinkers and visionaries in this work, including our hometown hero Karl-Anthony Towns and CEO of Great Place to Work Michael C. Bush. And we all left with refreshed resolve on our mission to instill a sense of belonging for our teams, guests and communities, while continuing to drive growth for our business. A huge thank you to everyone who participated, including Jay Bailey, Ron Brown, Jeff Cassady (he/him), Chrystel Cornelius, Alisa Dalton, Henry Jiménez, Christine Robles and Gary Smith, LPC. I am honored to be alongside you in this increasingly important work. With another fabulous forum in the books, I continue to reflect on how we can grow the circle of impact, inclusion and belonging for all. Together, I know we will continue to go far! #TeamTarget #Inclusion #Belonging #Community

CEOs are often quick to cite external headwinds hindering growth, but one of the biggest productivity killers is right under their nose: corporate culture. Through our research on Culture Renovation® and related studies, we've identified The Toxic 9...cultural traits that every company should be working to eradicate because they severely hinder an organization's performance. Our leader of The Institute for Corporate Productivity (i4cp)'s culture advisory practice, Marshall Bergmann, outlines these traits in a new article and, like Marshall, I certainly have witnessed most of these in my career. How many have you seen? https://lnkd.in/gT7s3npc #culturerenovation #culture #i4cp
