ISA goes to Paris! 😀 Automation.com's Senior Content Editor Melissa Landon Schnell is working at the Paris 2024 Olympics this summer and snapped these photos in front of the iconic Eiffel Tower! 📸 Did you know that the Eiffel Tower has 1,665 stairs and three viewing platforms? Or that over 20,000 light bulbs illuminate the landmark every night?💡 Since it was built in 1889, the Eiffel Tower has been used as a laboratory for measurements and scientific experiments. Automation has truly changed the world since then! The innovation continues as ISA supports professionals to build a better world through #automation. Thank you for these wonderful photos, Melissa! #Olympics #Paris2024 #XXXIIIOlympiad

Setting the standard for automation.
About us
Setting the Standard for Automation™ The International Society of Automation (ISA) is a non-profit professional association founded in 1945 to create a better world through automation. ISA advances technical competence by connecting the automation community to achieve operational excellence. The organization develops widely used global standards; certifies industry professionals; provides education and training; publishes books and technical articles; hosts conferences and exhibits; and provides networking and career development programs for its members and customers around the world. ISA created the ISA Global Cybersecurity Alliance (isa.org/ISAGCA) to advance cybersecurity readiness and awareness in manufacturing and critical infrastructure facilities and processes. The Alliance brings end-user companies, automation and control systems providers, IT infrastructure providers, services providers, system integrators, and other cybersecurity stakeholder organizations together to proactively address growing threats. ISA owns Automation.com, a leading online publisher of automation-related content, and is the founding sponsor of The Automation Federation (automationfederation.org), an association of non-profit organizations serving as “The Voice of Automation.” Through a wholly-owned subsidiary, ISA bridges the gap between standards and their implementation with the ISA Security Compliance Institute (isasecure.org) and the ISA Wireless Compliance Institute (isa100wci.org).

A new whitepaper from the ISA Global Cybersecurity Alliance (ISAGCA) addresses the relevance of the zero trust approach to industrial #cybersecurity. 📜 The paper describes how principles outlined in the ISA/IEC 62443 series of standards support the zero trust methodology and offers guidance on how to apply zero trust to operational technology (OT) environments. You can read the paper at the link below. https://lnkd.in/g4eYv8Cu Thank you so much to the ISAGCA community for their contributions to this effort, and to the authors: ✔ Danielle J. ✔ Andrew Kling ✔ Bob Pingel
