About us
At the Iowa Pork Producers Association, our vision is to help Iowa pig farmers be successful, and support them so their work enriches the lives of all Iowans. We do that by promoting pork and pig production; educating both consumers and farmers about responsible pork production; and being a leading voice for a sustainable, socially responsible, and globally competitive pork industry in Iowa. Pig farmers from around Iowa, allied industry members, and stakeholders make up our 23-member board of directors.

Iowa pigs need 23% of Iowa soybean acres to feed them and those same pigs help grow the next crop by providing the nutrients needed for the plants to grow. Pig manure contains all 13 essential nutrients needed by a plant, such as, nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium. We talk about it a lot, but it still blows our minds, too! #pigpoop #IowaSoybean #IowaPork #soilhealth
