Project Scientist was a HUGE success! 👩🏾🔬👩🔬🔬🙌🏼 Last week, Irving ISD students had a Summer STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) Adventure 💫, where they were challenged and inspired through hands-on science experiments and activities to be innovative scientists and leaders! 💖 Special thanks to our amazing partners at CoreLogic & Mr. Cooper for making this week possible, and to Project Scientist for inspiring and empowering our students to be problem solvers and world 🌎 changers through your Summer STEAM Lab! #ProjectScientist #GirlsInSTEM #IrvingISD

Congratulations to our friends at Avadene at Las Colinas on their ribbon cutting 🎗 ✂ hosted by Greater Irving - Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce. They have begun construction on new homes and we can’t wait to explore the beautiful neighborhood and see the finished product! 🏡 💚

Day 3 of Project Scientist was a blast! 💥 These Irving ISD girls are in the middle of their Summer STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math), and today they took a trip to CoreLogic where they learned about Artificial Intelligence 🤖 🧠 ✨, and went through a state-of-the-art Discovery Center where they had an immersive experience on climate risks. 🌎 Special thanks to Mr. Cooper & CoreLogic for making this amazing week possible, and to Project Scientist for empowering our students to follow their dreams! 💚 #GirlsInSTEM #ProjectScientist #IrvingISD

Who’s Who at Joe’s Coffee Shop?! 😁 One of these two is a 2024 Irving ISD graduate 🎓 on the way to majoring in Communications at Abilene Christian University, thanks in part to an endowed scholarship created by the other. Congratulations to Jack E. Singley graduate Ethan Williams for receiving the Tiffani Cain Memorial Scholarship, and kudos to Joe's Coffee Shop owner, Tammy Cain, for continuing to serve our community and helping send another bright scholar to college. 💚

We started summer off by surprising three 8th grade scholarship recipients! 🤩 ⭐ Crockett Middle School’s Brycen Grant was surprised recently with a $5,000 SchoolWorks Scholarship. He was nominated by his counselor, Maria Bargus, who recruited Brycen’s family, and Crockett MS staff to help with the surprise announcement. ⭐ Aishwarya Cijo thought middle school was over, but was suddenly called back last week to Austin MS. Her family joined AMS staff and 8th grade counselor Melendra Johnson in surprising Aishwarya with a $10,000 SchoolWorks Scholarship. ⭐ Rachel Hernandez is not only one of Johnson MS’s Top Eagles, she’s also the 2024 recipient of a $15,000 SchoolWorks Scholarship. Counselor Anne Lamptey nominated Rachel for the award, then looped in Rachel’s family and other JMS staff to help with the surprise announcement. All three will walk the Breakfast with the Stars stage in 2028 as they graduate from Irving ISD! 💚 Congratulations!
