The JAM FINTOP Network refers to the underlying limited partners in the JAM FINTOP investment funds, as well as entities that have joined the Network on a fee-based basis. A survey of the JAM FINTOP Faster Payments Working Group highlighted the following concerns/opportunities for instant payments. They can be summarized with one word -- FRAUD: -60% of banks said their clients need fraud controls so that they feel there's less risk in using instant payments -70% of banks said they need to update internal fraud systems before enabling instant payment Send capability -Areas the Fed should prioritize: network fraud controls, account ownership checking and checks to see if a recipient's bank has Request for Payment enabled -Top use cases: last-minute bill payment, payroll and Request for Payment
