Bruce Sklare went on a two-week volunteer mission to Israel with SAR-EL, a national non-profit for volunteers for Israel he originally signed up for the mission because he wanted to get involved and do something good for Israel after Oct. 7. He didn’t know where or what he would be doing until he arrived at Ben-Gurion airport! DEADLINE EXTENDED! Attention students and parents! Applications are now open for YoPhI Teen Board. YoPhi is comprised of Jewish 11th and 12th graders from the greater Indianapolis area. During their experience, Teen Board members engage in an in-depth examination of their Jewish values and understandings while gaining practical experience in philanthropy. The Teen Board members work as a philanthropic board focused on choosing a mission and making grants through a values-grounded, authentic, consensus-building process. The program will begin on Sept. 22, and wrap up in May 2025. Apply by Aug. 23 at bit.ly/yophi24.
