We’re grateful to the thousands of nonprofits and schools that engage with our associates, customers, stores and clubs through our Spark Good community giving programs. We listened to their feedback and recently made improvements to make it easier to access all our Spark Good programs. I’m excited to share a few new features: 💻 Now, nonprofits and schools can access all programs at one entry point on walmart.com/nonprofits ✅ Through a new collaboration, Deed will verify organizations participating in Spark Good programs 🎉 A new platform for Walmart and Sam's Club associates, powered by Deed, will provide new ways for organizations to engage our associates to give and volunteer, including posting volunteer opportunities that associates can search and sign up for!    Check out the new features and continue to let us know how we can make it easier for you to #SparkGood in your communities.

Is there such a thing as a “natural” disaster? In the latest issue of Vantage, a monthly newsletter on the future of responsible business from Deed, we consider Dr. Ilan Kelman's new book DISASTER BY CHOICE. In it, Kelman, a disaster researcher, argues that many of the world’s biggest problems are “created or exacerbated by human choices.” That may not be news to climate scientists, but more and more corporate leaders are also beginning to see how our workplace donation, volunteering, and community engagement activities can prepare our neighborhoods for crises and lend a helping hand in times of need. Read more—including more social impact news and commentary, workplace giving and volunteering ideas for back-to-school season, a new case study, product updates, and more—in this month's Vantage. Powerful words from Corey Hatcher, PMP, CODC: “Taking time out to volunteer, even during a busy offsite, is a powerful reminder of the impact we can make when we come together.” I couldn’t say it better myself. Deed is humbled and thrilled to support UserTesting, Nicholas House, Inc., and all their people as they make a real difference.

Transformational Leader | Innovating purposeful solutions with passion | Fostering meaningful change through creative initiatives | Advising with empathy, transparency, and an open mind

✨ Amidst a packed agenda at our offsite in Atlanta, GA, the HR Team at UserTesting took a meaningful break to create 50 Sunshine Boxes for the incredible nonprofit, Nicholas House, Inc.. It was such a delight to share the good works of this nonprofit and create a lasting memory for the team. 🖐 Volunteering together not only gave us the opportunity to support a vital cause—helping families transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency—but it also brought us closer as a team. We supported our Diverse Perspectives pillar of our #SocialImpact strategy which aligns to the UNSDG of #NoPoverty. 💜 Taking time out to volunteer, even during a busy offsite, is a powerful reminder of the impact we can make when we come together. It’s not just about giving back; it’s about building connections, sharing empathy, and creating a positive ripple effect in our communities. I encourage everyone to fit in some form of community involvement in their offsites as a more #inclusive activity that further ties you to the community you are in. 💻 We also used Deed, our newly launched Social Impact platform, to create the initiative, invite and inform folks about what we were going to do, and also provide a way to connect further with Nicholas House even after the we completed our event. Talk about #impactful! 💪A huge thank you to the HR team for participating in a super engaging way. Let’s keep the momentum going and continue finding ways to support causes that matter! #Volunteerism #HRLeadership #CommunityFirst #CSR #SocialResponsibility #SocialSustainability
