Qualified new joins will attend the 13-week JSAT-C course and have the option for Airborne School, among other unique schools and qualifications available. Yesterday, the Joint Communications Support Element (Airborne) proudly conducted an Airborne Operation to commemorate the historic D-Day invasion. During the early hours of June 6, 1944, over 13,000 brave Paratroopers of the Allied Forces took to the skies, marking a pivotal moment in World War II. These courageous Soldiers parachuted into Normandy, France, initiating the liberation of Western Europe from Nazi occupation. The D-Day jump was significant not only for its scale but for its strategic impact. Paratroopers played a crucial role in securing key positions and disrupting enemy defenses, which was instrumental in the success of the subsequent amphibious landings.
