In fibromyalgia the symptoms severity score assesses the intensity of symptoms like pain, fatigue and sleep disturbances to gauge the overall impact on a patient's well-being. This study assessed the prevalence of common mental disorders and suicidal ideation in doctors by specialty. Doctors in anaesthetics and paediatrics, were at significantly greater risk of suicidal ideation compared to GPs. There are tens of thousands of commercial divers in the world, working in construction, repair, inspection, salvage and as we've seen in the media recently with the Bayesian yacht sinking, search and rescue. Divers are at risk of a number of health issues such as decompression sickness and barotrauma, but there are also less well know medical issues such as pulmonary oxygen toxicity. Symptoms range from a retrosternal burning sensation upon breathing, coughing and chest pain, to shortness of breath.
