    MERGE!!...dublicate LinkedIn pages. LinkedIn is in the process of cleaning up duplicate LinkedIn pages. "Merging" pages is one way to do this. You even see "Verified" pages now in addition to and separate from individual LinkedIn profiles (a good topic for another post!)> As indicated below, there are a number of reasons duplicate pages can occur and a varying degree of "benefit" to a LinkedIn page to MERGE, but there are a number of examples that still pop up. One example is the Women's Premier Soccer League. A duplicate still exists. We're here to help. Another example is the Akron RubberDucks. A duplicate exists that would add a fair number of followers. Note: some of the "followers" could be duplicates of the "Official" page, but worth a try (add 500+?) The Cincinnati Recreation Commission has a duplicate page that has a slightly abbreviated spelling. The biggest example we've seen is Dunkin'. There are still a ton of followers of the page "Dunkin Donuts." (40k+?) This is definitely a great opportunity to merge pages. This would involve a name change of the old LinkedIn page first that would then be merged. Exciting stuff!! How can we help you?? Thanks again for following our page.     MERGE!!...multiple or duplicate LinkedIn pages. It's a way to consolidate followers and avoid confusion! There are a number of reasons a company or organization might have multiple and often duplicate LinkedIn pages. Here are a few common reasons... ➡️ A page was automatically set up by LinkedIn, but not claimed. ➡️ As employees set up their profiles, multiple spellings of the company name were used. For example, one spelling might say "Company" and the other "Co." ➡️ Admin or social media people responsible for a company page may have had difficulty gaining access and decided to set up a separate page often labeling this as the "Official Page", etc. Usually these issues get resolved, but there can still be pages out there that can be “merged" (consolidating followers) to a designated remaining page to further enhance visibility and avoid future confusion. Jumpstart Innovation (JSIN) helps clients walk thru the steps required to MERGE pages including the strategy or "reason" to do this (a question LinkedIn asks). Here are some of the steps and info needed that LinkedIn outlines in their "Help" section for merging pages... ➡️ The company names exactly as they appear on the Pages for the company. The URLs for the Pages you want to merge. ➡️ Clearly identify the Page or multiple Pages that need to be merged and the Page that needs to be retained. ➡️ The reason the Pages should be merged. Note: sometimes it's easier to gain access to a duplicate page as an admin and delete it. In essence it has no further value or ability to enhance the correct, current page. ✅ The "Help" section on LinkedIn is a good resource. JSIN can help make this happen faster. Often clients are unaware or have forgotten multiple pages exist. Good luck!!     Nothing says "Happy Flag Day!" like watching a B-25 WWII aircraft take off! Yes...even posting a day late! 😊 This saved BlackBerry phone video has surprisingly good sound. To get "full effect" of the distinct WWI engines, sync a Bluetooth SIG to a JBL Professional speaker (anyone will do!) and crank it up. It will sound like a B-25 just flew by your house! Watch a couple times! It's short and a little addictive - especially for history buffs. Video should be about the "experience" as much as the message and subject matter. LinkedIn is a great way to share this experience! It's also something that can be "repurposed" effectively - something companies like Content 10x do well and assist clients in doing the same. How much do you use video on LinkedIn? Do have a library that can be edited for later use? Do you have a favorite topic or subject matter? Obviously we like WWII aircraft. Next stop - trains!     It's the 80th anniversary of D-Day! 🇺🇸 June 6, 1944 Allied forces in WWII invaded northern France with beach landings in Normandy. Today we honor the courage and sacrifice of the men who helped turn the tide of the war in Europe. Pictured below is a WWII B-25 airplane taking off at Lunken Airport in Cincinnati, OH.     BE (a little) BOLDER! That would be our advice to Cracker Barrel. We love eating at Cracker Barrel. They have great, consistent food. At least that's been our experience. And in full disclosure, JSIN's owner just bought a few shares of stock based on CB's recent announcement to invest $700MM to boost sales and freshen up their stores including decor. It's tough when your current customers are an older demographic, but you also need to attract younger customers. Here are a few ideas we had to make things pop (a little) more... 1. Consider shortening the name from "Cracker Barrel Old Country Store" to "Cracker Barrel Country Store." Literally, this name looks less "old!" 2. Freshen up the inside (a little). There is a lot of cool stuff on the walls - and a lot of junk. Some of it is even a little strange. It can still have an "older" look while still being a little more "contemporary" or less ancient. 3. Lighter, warmer tone colors (wood, paint, etc.) could help in the restaurant. Again, "a little." Some of this could be lighting. The gift shops have better lighting than the restaurant part does. Doesn't have to be the same, just better (a little). 4. Make selective use of neon signs to show "older things" that still pop. This would be a cool way to highlight older brands that people would still recognize. This could also have a regional or local flavor. It will be interesting to see what changes are made. We wish Cracker Barrel much success!!     Think POSSIBLE! It's a necessary mindset for success. (although easier to think otherwise) It's important to be pragmatic and focused about what you want. There's the saying...."if you don't know where you are going, how will you know when you get there?" It's important to use your imagination. JSIN has an innovate way to CLAIM "unclaimed" LinkedIn pages. It cuts thru red tape that often prevents organizations from benefiting from their LinkedIn page. It’s there, but they don’t have access.     INNOVATE! It's a constant demand to keep things fresh, simple and forward focused. And stay ahead of your competition! What worked or works so far may no longer work tomorrow. It was a sobering reminder driving past the vacant Sears portion of Eastgate Mall in Cincinnati this weekend. I noticed it was prepping for demolition. I was reminded my father started his career at Sears in Chicago, but soon switched jobs and went to work for Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati. He was lucky his first boss at Sears made life miserable prompting him to explore other options. Lucky for his family too! 😊 It's a constant exercise to think what can be done differently on LinkedIn because LinkedIn is always changing - often without notice.     We help companies CLAIM "unclaimed pages" on LinkedIn. We do this quickly. We just need a company's "OK" (green light) to do this (on their behalf). What is an "unclaimed page?" It's a page that was listed by LinkedIn for a variety of reasons, but not something that was set up by the actual company. This means they do not have control of the page. We helped the Cincinnati Recreation Commission claim their page, then assisted in growing their following. This included the following... ➡ Proactively inviting people to follow the page. ➡ Using 2+ admins to do this. ➡ Building more local followers for #CincyRec. ➡ Focusing on the tri-state area. ➡ Reaching out to local sports teams and nonprofits. ➡ Responding to people that hyperlink to the CRC's LinkedIn page. ➡ Adding content to the page. The page now has 1k+ followers (1,111 officially today!). The demographics of followers are now mostly in Cincinnati. Initially Detroit had more followers. Go figure!! 😊 It was a pleasure working with the Cincinnati Recreation Commission to develop a stronger platform on LinkedIn. We also helped get the ball rolling (on LinkedIn) for the Cincinnati Recreation Commission Foundation. Need help with your LinkedIn page? Building your brand?     Congratulations to all the former or current Women's Premier Soccer League players that were drafted in the recent National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) draft. It's also exciting to see the NWSL expand this year with the addition of Utah Royals and Bay FC. Hopefully Cincinnati will be another city added - soon! #JSIN worked with local women's team Cincinnati Sirens FC to build support and visibility for the team on LinkedIn. This is a snapshot of followers beginning in 2020 initially setting up a page thru early December 2023. There is now a much stronger base of support locally. This includes followers with a number of different professional teams as well as potential and current sponsors. There are also supporters on women's soccer in general. Surprisingly there is also support internationally with followers in almost 20 countries. Stronger involvement on LinkedIn by team personnel including players would help grow this page. Perhaps with new players taking advantage of NIL opportunities this will include better utilizing LinkedIn. It wouldn't hurt with sponsors. Suggestion: If you're an admin taking over a page - especially for a sports team, be sure to do a screenshot of your current demographics using LinkedIn analytics. This provides a useful benchmark to see what is working and what isn't and make changes accordingly. If your team or organization wants to grow its following on LinkedIn and are looking for ways to better recognize sponsors, let's talk.     Happy New Year! 🎈🎈We're looking forward to a successful 2024 in helping clients reach their full potential using LinkedIn. Of course this will vary depending on the client. Here are a few things we do well... ➡️ Help schools quickly get access to unclaimed pages. Other organizations too. ➡️ Assist in name changes for pages. Minor changes usually aren't difficult. Inaccuracies can often be the result of how the initial page showed up on LinkedIn. ➡️ Combine duplicate LinkedIn pages. This avoids confusion and maximizes Followers. ➡️ Add common acronyms that are commonly used - often more recognizable that the full page name. ➡️ Help schools set up pages so they are not listed as "companies." This means students and alumni can properly list a school under "Education.” ➡️ Suggest "simplified" logos that will show up bigger and brand better on LinkedIn. ➡️ Assess organizational implementation of LinkedIn on individual profiles. Encourage basic "best practices." Ask about Jumpstart Bootcamp! #JSBC ➡️ Build page Followers thru a variety of proactive actions including more frequent posting. These are a few of the things.
