In 2018, we hit this milestone, and in 2019, we were finally prepared to offer our team members medical, dental, and vision insurance, short and long-term disability insurance, paid time off, and in 2021, 401K matching retirement plans, as well as other great benefits. Offering our team members these benefits is one of the things of which I am most proud while on this roller-coaster journey that is entrepreneurship. When we were looking for a partner to help us manage these benefits, provide HR consultation, and expertise on staying compliant, we found Justworks in 2019 and it has been a great partnership. Last week I had the opportunity to speak with Justworks VP & Chief of Staff Lauren Yildirim at their Super All Hands, joining the entire company, to share my career journey from two decades of banking to entrepreneurship with the Justworks team.  I also shared my experience as both a Justworks client and having Justworks as a Luminary client/partner and the importance of being able to rely on great vendors, service and support as you build a business. As a relatively new entrepreneur, we discussed the in’s and out’s of building Luminary, what's important as we continue to scale and serve our community, and, what keeps me going as a founder every day, which is our customers aka our Members. One of the most important things I learned when I started my banking career was to put the customer first in everything you do. And that is what I/we try to do every day since the community is the reason we exist, its the reason we continue to build offerings and solutions to support them, and it's why we stay centered on our mission to advance women and allies in their professional journey regardless of their path. It was serendipitous that I was able to hear Justworks CEO Michael Seckler talk about the company's singular focus on small business and how to best support their customer needs. I felt like he was reading my mind as he spoke, sharing his own experience as a founder himself and the emotional rollercoaster of building a business, and now as the CEO of Justworks, ensuring the customer is first in everything they do. It is so aligned with Luminary and why our relationship and partnership works so well. Justworks had our 2x per year all-company Super All Hands this week. With ~750 people in person and another ~750 people on zoom. The energy was awesome as we discussed our accelerating growth & all of the new things we are bringing to customers. Highlight for sure was Lauren Yildirim sitting down with Cate Luzio, founder of Luminary, to discuss her entrepreneurial journey. What an adventure she has been on! Getting these small businesses started is so hard, but also so meaningful & rewarding.

This week, the Justworks team gathered in NYC and virtually around the world for our Super All Hands, a celebration of what we've accomplished and the many opportunities ahead 🚀 In addition to hearing from Michael Seckler and other company leaders, we had the incredible honor of welcoming Cate Luzio, Founder and CEO of Luminary. Cate shared her personal entrepreneurial journey with us, and how Justworks' human-centric experience truly makes us an extension of her team. Together, we're excited and energized to continue our mission of supporting small businesses, helping them grow and succeed every step of the way.
