Back from the Precision Medicine Summit 2024 and Rose Gala. It was a truly incredible and inspiring weekend hosted by Casey McPherson the founder of ‘To Cure a Rose’ foundation, a brilliant musician and one of the mosted talented people I know which I’m fortunate to call a friend. I enjoyed meeting old friends and making new friends who are all passionate about developing therapeutics for rare diseases. Rare diseases are not rare. There are over 10,000 rare diseases and over 400 Million patients and only 5% of the diseases have approved therapies. I left the summit feeling hopeful and optimistic about the future of rare diseases knowing that these extraordinary individuals will continue to work together to find cures for children like sweet Rose that are suffering from rare diseases.

Today is CTNNB1 Awareness Day! CTNNB1 syndrome is a rare neurodevelopmental disorder that affects many parts of the body and is caused by autosomal dominant de novo variations in the CTNNB1 gene. Currently, there is no cure for CTNNB1 Syndrome, making it increasingly necessary to spread awareness for this genetic disease.
