Bringing more human milk to babies

About us

In 2012 we discovered that almost all premature infants in hospital NICUs do not receive the lifesaving benefits of human milk. We set out to find a solution, utilizing innovative technology and holistic donor care, connecting moms with excess milk to infants in need.

Ten years ago, we embarked on a journey, seeking to connect moms who have excess milk to infants in need. And, through the support of countless individuals, LactaLogics has successfully closed a $92 million round of funding. This collaborative financial backing, uniting both government and private sectors, underscores a shared commitment to enhancing infant health. It is made possible by the USDA, Magnolia Bank - NMLS 423028, US Department of Energy, PACE Equity, LLC, the State of Florida, St. Lucie County, the City of Port St. Lucie, and numerous private investors.   Together, we are empowering clinicians and families with nutritional choice.    The future of infant nutrition is now.

It's #WorldPrematurityDay, and today we take a moment to recognize premature infants, their families, and the dedicated clinicians who work tirelessly for their care. Each year, approximately 1 in 10 babies in the United States are born prematurely. These infants often face significant health challenges and potentially life-threatening complications. Raising awareness about premature birth is crucial, as is honoring the resilience and strength of those affected. We are committed to raising awareness and contributing to the care and well-being of premature infants and their families. #PrematurityDay #NICU #SaveTheBabies

LactaLogics' Jackie Martin joined members of our Clinical and Scientific Advisory Board, Dr. Cami Martin (pictured) and Dr. Steve McElroy, in attending this year's NEC Symposium. We are honored to have participated and look forward to continuing to build a world without NEC together. #NECSanDiego #preventNEC #neo

Patient families, nurses, doctors, researchers, and those of us in industry came together to #preventNEC this week, a devastating disease that impacts mostly premature babies. This was my first time attending the The NEC Society's NEC Symposium but I was moved to tears as Micah's mom, Sarah's mom, and Seth's mom shared their stories. A few things I took away: 1) There is no such thing as a "rare" disease if it's your own child (this hit home because it articulates how I feel about my own child); we can talk *percentages* and *numbers* but each is a human with a name and family. 2) The gut and brain are inexplicably tied together; not only the baby's but also the health of moms gut during pregnancy. What we eat matters! 3) Research is desparately needed, but we also must take action. An example are the NICUs who have drastically cut their NEC rates by *doing* and not just *talking*. There is still so much we don't know about NEC but I left encouraged. So many smart, dedicated people care about premature infants and are willing to continue to push forward. #NECSociety #savethebabies

LactaLogics proudly joins the nation in celebrating Breastfeeding Awareness Month. This year, we're inspired by the U.S. Breastfeeding Committee's theme, "This is Our Why," as we continue to champion the journey of breastfeeding for mothers and infants. Our why is simple: to ensure every infant has access to the nourishing benefits of breast milk. Everything we do is rooted in this 'why' – a vision where all newborns can benefit from the miracle of an exclusive human milk diet. #NationalBreastfeedingAwarenessMonth
