We are still excited about the launch of our ECOPlanet Unicem, Nigeria's First Low Carbon Multipurpose Cement, which held last week in Enugu state. Last week, our Operations Finance Director, Chinedu Richard represented the CEO, Lafarge Africa as a panelist at the Nigeria Employers' Consultative Association (NECA) Summit, which held at the Abuja Continental Hotel. The plenary session themed, Manufacturing: Key to Economic Growth and Shared Prosperity highlighted the current state of the manufacturing sector, its strengths, challenges and opportunities. #LafargeAfrica

As part of our efforts to foster sustainable growth and development within our host communities, we recently launched the Welding and Fabrication Program for 20 youths from our host communities in Cross River State. This initiative underscores Lafarge's commitment to sustainable community development and aims to equip individuals with valuable industrial skills. The participants will undergo comprehensive training in welding and fabrication for eight months, in order to make them become proficient and certified in their field. In attendance to commemorate the launch of this project were – Cross River State Commissioner for Youth, Barr Ijom Ukam, Mfamosing Plant Manager, Milad Hanna, employees of Lafarge Africa, beneficiaries and other stakeholders. #LafargeAfrica
