A BOLD WAY TO A BETTER WORLD
About us
Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity is one of the largest men’s general fraternities in North America with more than 300,000 initiated members and has held chapters at more than 300 universities. In the early 1970s, it was the first fraternity to eliminate pledging and remains a leader in the fight against hazing, alcohol abuse, sexual assault and other challenges facing today’s college student. Complemented by its partnerships with Feeding America and the JED Foundation, Lambda Chi Alpha serves to enhance higher education by providing opportunities for academic achievement, leadership development, personal growth, career networking and lifelong friendships. The mission of Lambda Chi Alpha is to inspire and equip men to lead an ethical life of growth, service, and leadership. Lambda Chi Alpha envisions a world where the ideal man pursues a life of respect and inclusion for all. A world where we support and encourage one another. And a world where every brother models and embraces our values: loyalty, duty, respect, service and stewardship, honor, integrity, and personal courage.

The Iota-Phi Zeta at High Point University recently celebrated its 70th Anniversary. On the serene High Point University campus, an innovative spirit is engrained in every aspect of the student experience. Boasting their own spirit aligned with the greater universities’, the Lambda Chi Alpha chapter holds a robust history of developing leaders & innovators both inside of our fraternity & externally in countless industries. Perhaps even more remarkably, the brotherhood has succeeded in cultivating a genuine community & bond that has persisted throughout generations that stands strong today. The father/son bond is a special blend of mentorship, guidance and friendship. For those who get to experience it, having shared Membership in Lambda Chi Alpha allows father and son to appreciate their bond on a deeper level. In honor of Father's Day last weekend, The Lynch, Prout, Jackson and Witous families shared their journeys through their familial and Brother bond in Lambda Chi Alpha. In 2023, Lambda Chi Alpha officially partnered with the American Red Cross. Together, through 35 blood drives across 11 states, our Chapters have donated 1,571 units of blood, saving an estimated 4,713 lives. The demand for blood drives is relentless and even more pressing during the summer months when many universities are not in session, leading to fewer blood drives. This is where we need your help. We are seeking dedicated Alumni Brothers like you to step up and host blood drives during the summer. The requirements are simple: 🟢 1,500 square foot room at your business office 🟢 Support in advertising and recruiting donors Imagine the impact you could make in your local community. Hosting a blood drive not only helps those in urgent need, but also fosters camaraderie and strengthens our bonds as Brothers committed to serving others. If you are interested in hosting a blood drive with the American Red Cross or would like more information, please reach out to our Partnership Engagement Specialist at [email protected]. Together, we can continue to be a force for good.

On June 9, 1924, delegates from 11 local fraternities from nine different states united in Springfield, Missouri to form Theta Kappa Nu fraternity. In 1939, Theta Kappa Nu and Lambda Chi Alpha formed a union in what was regarded as the largest combined fraternity to date. As part of the union, Lambda Chi Alpha adopted the white tudor rose and the open motto "Vir Quisque Vir", or "Every man a man" from Theta Kappa Nu. Today, we can still see Theta Kappa Nu shine through in our Coat of Arms, Associate Member Pin, and Associate Member Ceremony. Today, Lambda Chi Alpha celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Theta Kappa Nu Fraternity.
