Honoring Our Heroes Through Service: LandscapeHub at the NALP Renewal & Remembrance Day LandscapeHub had the privilege of participating in the National Association of Landscape Professionals' annual Renewal and Remembrance day of service, now in its 28th year. This year, over 400 volunteers gathered at Arlington National Cemetery and the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial (AVDLM) to honor our nation's heroes through dedicated service. At Arlington, volunteers, including our own Will Haverkamp and Brandon Brelewski, rolled up their sleeves and planted trees, mulched, repaired and upgraded irrigation systems, installed tree rings, conditioned soil, performed hardscape repairs and installations, improved drainage, and installed lightning protection for trees. A special Children's program also saw the planting of flowers in specific areas, with one family chosen to participate in the wreath ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. LandscapeHub's vendor network played a crucial role in supplying all the plants, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to Prides Corner Farms, Inc., Panoramic Farm, Inc., and Manor View Farms Inc for their generous contributions. We are incredibly proud to have been a part of this meaningful event, contributing to the preservation and beautification of these sacred spaces. So you want to be in the 3AM Club?? Brandon Brelewski and I were recently in DC to take part in National Association of Landscape Professionals annual Renewal and Remembrance Day of service at Arlington National Cemetery and America’s backyard at the National Mall, which draws over 400+ volunteers each year for the event. For our specific project, we teamed up with over 200+ industry peers/volunteers and Parks and Rec to enhance the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial. LandscapeHub and our supplier network helped provide the plants and as a group, we installed over 10,000 perennials in record time that morning! For everything to go off without a hitch, the team behind the scene, or the “3AM Club”, had to come through and layout the goods! It felt a bit like covert ops with the headlamps and all, but it made all the difference when everyone arrived that day to put in the work. This event continues to move me in a way that’s different from anything else. In a time where we need unity more than ever in our country, it sparks a healthy dose of patriotism for me! Id like to extend a huge THANK YOU to all the team leaders, organizers, vendors, and volunteers that helped make this years Renewal and Rememberance one to remember! God bless America 🇺🇸 and all who have sacrificed so much for our freedom!
