🌟 New Board Member Spotlight: Crist Miller🌟 We’re thrilled to welcome Crist Miller, General Manager at Shawnee Wood Products Inc., to our Board of Trustees! A proud member of the Leadership Geauga Class of 2024, Crist’s journey with us has been marked by memorable experiences, including the overnight retreat and the dinner that followed. Crist’s decision to join our board stems from his deep commitment to giving back—a core part of his life’s vision. He draws inspiration from the words of Maya Angelou: "If you must look back, do so forgivingly. If you must look forward, do so prayerfully. However, the wisest thing you can do is be present in the present...Gratefully." He also believes in the power of delegation in business: "You can only grow as big as you can delegate." When he’s not leading at work or within our organization, Crist enjoys traveling, hiking, kayaking, and hunting. His favorite spot in Geauga County? Middlefield, and he appreciates all the opportunities the county has to offer. Join us in welcoming Crist to the Leadership Geauga Board of Trustees! Today, we hosted our annual Board Retreat at Big Creek Park of Geauga Park District. Much time was spent on developing our strategic plan for the coming year - and we also welcomed four new board members (stay tuned for more information on them 😉)! Here's to the 2024-25 year!

Amy and Meredith traveled to Providence, Rhode Island, last week for the 2024 National Conference for the Association of Leadership Programs! They participated in many sessions and interactive discussions that provided insight to about operations, ideas to implement, and new relationships from across the nation. We were back at it this past Saturday at the UH Geauga Car Show! Meredith and Amy had a nice afternoon speaking with attendees about the upcoming Heritage Program for Retirees!

Meredith and Amy attended Geauga Growth Partnership's annual HomeGrown Geauga event at Basil Place. The event featured delightful food and a stunning venue, all while raising funds to support their youth workforce programs. Congratulations to GGP on another successful event! An added bonus was seeing SO many LG alumni, too. 💚❤
