The Leadership In Flight Training (LIFT) Academy was born out of a desire to transform the standard pilot training model into one that is more widely attainable and attractive. By offering tuition that is more affordable than other pilot training programs, as well as a direct classroom-to-flight deck opportunity, LIFT has thrown the hangar doors wide open to a world of possibilities for men and women who thought becoming a pilot was simply not within reach.

Three months ago, I started my first job as a commercial airline pilot for Republic Airways. This week, I had one of the most memorable flights of my career thus far and it will always be one of my most memorable flights. I got to fly with my dad (Rodney Koch) for the first time as an airline pilot. My dad has been a Captain for Republic Airways for many years and I got to join him from the right seat today. Thank you dad for all your help and support to get me to this point and to be sitting beside you in the flight deck. Thank you Leadership In Flight Training Academy (LIFT) for providing me with the resources and training to get to the point.

Severino Alforeza III, known as Sev to his friends, began his flight training in February 2020. Today he is a Republic Airways First Officer. 👨✈️ “I never really considered being a pilot as a career option. Friends, Family, and Mentors, the time has finally come. I am extremely honored to announce that I have been offered a Conditional Job Offer (CJO) with Republic Airways! With this, I join the distinguished Leadership In Flight Training Academy (LIFT), where I will complete the rest of my Instrument, Commercial, Multi, and CFI training, as well as gain hours until I transition to Republic Airways. Once transitioned, I will be flying the Embraer E-170/175 series aircraft, based in the Northeast operating flights under United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and American Airlines. This unique opportunity under Republic allows pilots like myself to train under their wholly owned and operated flight school at LIFT Academy while gaining a once-in-a-lifetime experience by codesharing under these 3 airlines. In the near future, you will be boarding a plane and might have to listen extra closely to hear the sound of your First Officer Brendon Jones speaking. David joined LIFT Academy in June of 2023 as a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), became a lead instructor, and earned his MEI rating. ✈️ Originally from Southern California, David went to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Aeronautical Science and a minor in Applied Meteorology. His commitment to excellence and his passion for teaching will be instrumental in helping us continue to provide top-notch training to our students as our newest Assistant Chief Flight Instructor! 👏 #LIFTAcademy

Graduate Visit! We have graduates come and visit us all the time and for the older ones, they can come and sign the A&P wall! Miss Mariah came in for a quick visit and told us how well she is doing in the aviation field.
