We are delighted to share an exciting publication on the significant strides achieved by Leadership Initiatives in empowering youth and fostering entrepreneurship! You can read the latest article from The Guardian Nigeria on our work here: NGO Sets Up Multi-Million Naira Businesses for Over 100 Bauchi Youth (https://lnkd.in/eSNTuxY2) This past summer, 175 high school student interns joined us at Georgetown University for the International Leadership & Business Internship and worked with 14 amazing entrepreneurs to develop new businesses in Bauchi, Nigeria. As a part of their business development internship, interns created marketing plans, financial tracking systems, and recommendations for infrastructural materials that would assist their partner in launching their dream business. The interns’ dedication and ingenuity played a pivotal role in empowering their business partners in their entrepreneurial journey. We are thrilled to share the successful outcomes from the dedicated efforts of our student interns. Our newly established business partners have transitioned into their newly renovated shops, equipped with all the essential tools to kickstart their journeys as small business owners. Beyond providing the necessary start-up materials, our team has spent the last three months training these entrepreneurs through workshops covering crucial topics, including financial literacy, budgeting, marketing, and other essentials. This comprehensive approach ensures a strong start and fosters the long-term growth and sustainability of these businesses. The workshops and business implementations stand as a testament to the dedication and hard work of our team, underscored by the resilience and potential of the young minds we strive to uplift. At Leadership Initiatives, our commitment lies in creating sustainable opportunities that empower individuals to transform their lives and communities. Reflecting on the achievements of this year, it is an honor to witness the positive impact we've had on the lives of these business owners, as well as all of the student interns who made this possible. From fostering entrepreneurship to promoting self-reliance, we are steadfast in creating a ripple effect that extends beyond immediate beneficiaries to the community at large. This journey would not be possible without the unwavering support of our student interns, partners, donors, and the tireless efforts of our dedicated team on the ground. We extend heartfelt gratitude to all those who make our work possible. Together, we are effecting change and shaping a brighter future for communities in need. Let's continue to champion change, empower dreams, and build a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. Thank you for being part of our journey, and here's to even more impactful initiatives in the coming year!
