Three years ago Asbury Communities, Inc. made the decision to bring all #marketing and #advertising for the system in-house and though I was pretty sure we could do it, I was nervous because would we really have the ability to be creative while keeping up with workload? Yes! Two National Mature Media Awards in two years. Thanks to Rachel Mitchley for her outstanding eye and ability to take a whole lot of thoughts and ideas and words and turn it into Silver! #seniorliving #maturemediaawards
We are proud to share Asbury Communities has been awarded Silver in the Advertising-Print category of the 2024 National Mature Media Awards! This recognition not only highlights the talent and hard work of our in-house creative agency but also underscores our ongoing commitment to dispel common stereotypes that exist around #seniorliving and #aging. At Asbury, we continually strive to challenge outdated perceptions and showcase the vibrant, active lives of older adults. Thank you to the National Mature Media Awards for this honor, and a big congratulations to our in-house agency team for their exceptional work. Let’s keep changing the narrative around aging! #AsburyCommunities #MatureMediaAwards

Olympians aren't only made in France. As we celebrate the opening ceremonies of the 2024 Paris Olympics, we honor the countless older adults who've medaled in the Maryland Senior Olympics. This year, pickleball pros from Asbury Communities, Inc. Asbury Methodist Village, Ron Stevenson, won a silver medal in men's singles at the 2024 Maryland Senior Olympics for pickleball (Image 1). Ron has won a pickleball medal every year for the last four years in the Maryland Senior Olympics! Image 2: Ron and his partner Rose Veazey won a bronze medal in mixed doubles in 2023. Image 3: Ron and his partner Rose Veazey won a gold medal in mixed doubles in 2022. Image 4: Ron and his partner Jay Hatch won a bronze medal in men's doubles in 2021. And even when they aren't competing for gold, you'll find 40 Asbury residents perfecting their pickleball game on the courts each Tuesday! #seniorolympics #openingceremony #openingceremony2024 #paris2024 #olderadults #seniors #seniorliving
