Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania (LASP) provides free civil legal services in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties, with local offices in Bristol, Doylestown, Chester city, Media, Norristown, Pottstown and West Chester. SERVICES: Founded in 2001 when long-standing suburban county legal aid agencies joined forces, LASP assists low-income and vulnerable clients in domestic violence/protection from abuse, housing (landlord-tenant, eviction, mortgage foreclosure), public benefits, consumer and bankruptcy, employment, health, wills/powers of attorney, veterans, juvenile and elder law.   • FORT WASHINGTON - Melina Dixon, Staff Attorney & Montgomery County Pro Bono Coordinator, and Reid Kemena, Staff Attorney, provided information about LASP services at the Senior Resource Fair May 10, 2024 at the Operating Engineers Local 542 in Fort Washington. The event was hosted by Rep. Melissa Cerrato, Rep. Nancy Guenst & Rep. Ben Sanchez. In a thank you note, the state representatives reported "a resounding success! Over 40 vendors joined us to provide valuable information and services to more than 200 older adults of our communities."

  • POTTSTOWN - Before showtime at the July 25, 2024 preview of "Legally Blonde: A Musical," LASP Executive Director Shawn Boehringer (pictured at left) joined Steel River Playhouse Executive Director Alec Lee Williams onstage. Steel River Playhouse invited LASP to partner for the summer production, which opens the 2024-25 season. Shawn gave a brief overview of LASP's work in Pottstown and Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, and Delaware counties.
