What have you found to be the best thing about Legato? It’s a combination of a focused commitment to delivering outstanding results for clients and partners, while also creating a healthy atmosphere of achievement for employees.   What is the most rewarding thing about your position in sales channel development? Understanding the challenges partners face in their day-to-day and being able to engage and deliver value via Legato’s services to help solve for some of those.   What has contributed to your success? Showing up every day with consistent enthusiasm and a detailed plan for how to drive value through partnerships.

What is the single best thing about Legato? The people! The people here make this place truly exceptional. If it wasn’t for some of my peers, I don’t think I would have survived this long in security.   What is the most rewarding thing about your position in Security Operations? I find it incredibly rewarding to be part of a constantly evolving industry. Legato Security has provided me with opportunities to learn, adapt, and contribute, ensuring that I’m well-prepared to identify and mitigate emerging threats.   What has contributed to your success and your promotion? Adaptability, perseverance, collaboration, continuous learning, and strong analytical skills have played a major role in my success. Coupled with the mentorship and opportunities provided by Legato Security, I’ve been able to grow and make a significant impact.

Employee Spotlight 🌟 This week we are highlighting Jhon Panotes, one of our awesome L2 SOC Analyst's. Jhon has been with Legato since November of 2021. Read below to learn more about him. What sold you on Legato?  Legato has a ton of opportunities when it comes to career progression and movement. I like how quickly you can earn a promotion and you can even move from one team to another to pursue the career path you want to take.   What is the most rewarding thing about working in cybersecurity? When it comes down to it, in cybersecurity,  there are people behind each of the things that we do. We help to protect the data and minimize the risk and/or harm to them and that is rewarding. Additionally, ever since I took over the internship program, it has been an honor to work and hire our interns. I get to be a part of their cybersecurity journey and help them get to a stage where they can hit the ground running.     What is the best advice you can give to someone looking to work in a SOC? Find a mentor in the industry (whether they’re a connection from LinkedIn, an employee of the company you work for, etc.) and establish a mentor-mentee relationship with them. This way, they can guide you at the beginning of your career and point you to the right resources. Utilize their experiences and learn from them. Ask questions. Write down your questions that you think of during the day, and ask them to your mentor or peers when you get the chance. Feed on to your curiosity.
