𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗮𝘀 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝘄𝘀 In a recent Wall Street Journal article, European oil companies re-evaluate thier focus of LNG as the primary fuel source for the future. Despite substantial government and taxpayer-funded investments in alternative energy, results have been disappointing, leading to a renewed focus on natural gas to reduce #GHGemissions, particularly CO2, and replace coal in power generation. For example, the recent conversion of a coal-fired power plant in Mississippi to CoGen natural gas turbine technology led to a 73% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to coal. In countries that lack natural gas production, importing LNG is the preferred solution, which requires exporting countries to ramp up gas production and processing to meet the growing global demand. Unfortunately, supply chain restrictions, both technical and regulatory, are causing delays. This has led to skewed pricing, as shown by the disparity between U.S. and European gas prices, which is hindering the desired increase in U.S. production and investments in clean, environmentally friendly gas technology. A good example of such technology is #MultiphasePumping, which not only lowers back pressure in gas gathering systems, eliminating liquid interference, but also significantly reduces facility size, complexity, and potential #methane escape points.
