After a successful pilot, Life Science Cares Boston is thrilled to announce that we're recruiting for a second year! This VIRTUAL program, generously funded by the Community Foundation of MetroWest, has allowed us to extend our impact into a school and to the students who need us most. Let's keep the momentum up as we DOUBLE the number of students we support this fall. As part of the grand opening of their new location, we had a blast partnering with Moderna for a recent STEM Carnival! It was a day filled with discovery, inspiration, and community impact. Moderna employees assembled 120 STEM kits that will support local students' summer learning in transformative programs offered by our partner, STEAM Ahead. Each kit even included a personal note of encouragement from a Moderna employee! Later in the day, students from Alexander Twilight Academy came on-site for a lab tour, THREE hands-on experiments, and fun activity stations! From DIY lava lamps to marble roller coasters, these students got a taste of real-life science in action, right where the magic happens. In the words of a middle school student: "I hope that I can work at a place like Moderna one day, I'd love to be a scientist and now I think I can be one." Thanks to Moderna for their commitment to nurturing the next generation of STEM leaders. Together, we’re making science accessible and exciting for all! #NetworkofGood
