About us

The Lindner Center of HOPE provides patient-centered, scientifically-advanced care for individuals suffering with mental illness. A state-of-the-science, free-standing mental health center, the Lindner Center of HOPE is a charter member of the National Network of Depression Centers. The Center provides psychiatric hospitalization for individuals age 11-years-old and older, outpatient services for all ages, research and voluntary, live-in services. The Center’s clinicians are ranked among the best providers locally, nationally and internationally. Along with the specialties listed below, we also specialize in Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Brain Imaging, Psychopharmacology, and Psychotherapy.

    Meet Jan Marhefka, Chief Nursing Officer at Lindner Center of Hope! After earning her MSN from the University of Cincinnati, Jan joined the Lindner Center team in 2015, initially serving as the Manager of Quality and Compliance. In 2020, Jan was awarded Employee of the Year! Now, as Chief Nursing Officer, she oversees many crucial areas of the Center, including the inpatient adult units, the Neuromodulation Center, spiritual care, recreation therapy, and more. We are incredibly grateful for the years Jan has invested into the Center and our patients!

    We are delighted to announce the new program leads in residential services at Lindner Center of HOPE! Congratulations to Jason Thompson, LISW-S, LICDC-CS, MBA, and Caleb Wood, PsyD! 🌟 Jason Thompson, our current Clinical Director of the Lindner IOP program, has led the program for 11 years, overseeing its growth and development. With 23 years of experience in mental health and addictions, he brings an enormous depth of expertise to residential services as the new Program Director of Sibcy House. 🌟 Caleb Wood has been with the Lindner Center for the last 3 years, working within our outpatient and residential services departments. He has 13 years of experience in mental health and is actively involved in the teaching, supervision, and education of psychology interns and group therapists/coaches. Dr. Wood will bring his expertise in working with serious mental illness to his new role as Program Manager of Williams House. Please join us in welcoming Jason and Caleb to their new roles!

    Lindner Center of Hope is grateful for the recent pledge of $1.25 million from The Connor Group Kids & Community Partners. As requested by The Connor Group Kids & Community Partners, $1 million of the pledge will be dedicated to the Center’s Research Institute, with the remaining $250,000 allocated to the Center’s patient financial assistance “Helping Hands” fund. “We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of The Connor Group Kids & Community Partners,” said Dr. Paul R.     Meet Elizabeth Mariutto, PsyD, CEDS-C, Clinical Director of Eating Disorder Services and staff psychologist at the Lindner Center of HOPE! Dr. Mariutto compassionately supports individuals and families dealing with mood, anxiety, self-harm and eating disordered symptoms on their journey to recovery. She does so by creating a safe, accepting environment where patients can explore the underlying causes of their challenges and work towards healing. She leads intuitive eating and self-compassion groups, consults on residential units, and provides individual therapy in our adult partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. Her heartfelt approach makes a significant difference in the lives of those she supports. Dr. Mariutto is an incredible leader and role model for her team!
