A Landmark Victory for Cross-Border Copyright Management! We're delighted to announce the European Court's groundbreaking ruling in Case C-10/22 | LEA, which marks a significant turning point for Jamendo , Bridger, and the wider music industry! In a historic decision, the Court has declared that Italian legislation, which previously restricted independent copyright management entities (IMEs) such as Jamendo or Bridger from operating in other EU countries, is incompatible with EU law. This restrictive measure, deemed unjustified and disproportionate, has impeded the free provision of services and stifled healthy competition. This verdict is a triumph for all IMEs and represents a pivotal moment for innovation within the music sector. It clears the path for fair competition and fosters opportunities for cross-border collaboration, thereby reinforcing the EU's commitment to a unified market and the protection of intellectual property rights. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone at Jamendo and Bridger, past and present, for their contributions to this success. A special appreciation goes to our dedicated legal team from CBA for their unwavering support, hard work, and resilience throughout this journey. Let's celebrate this #LegalVictory together! ⚡ #Jamendo #Bridger #EUlaw #Copyright #MusicIndustry

New press release about our first revenues from our distribution partner SonoSuite. "We're moving in the right direction, and at a much more sustained pace, so that by early next year, we’ll have a complete platform enabling artists to create their own subscriptions, be distributed, and receive income from streaming platforms and their royalties. We will complete this before the end of the year with the NFT part." Alexandre Saboundjian, CEO of Llama Group. https://lnkd.in/eD-QVfaJ #musicnews #musicindustrynews
