LumenCache

Appliances, Electrical, and Electronics Manufacturing

A smart power platform to enable the most brilliant energy solutions

About us

LumenCache is a DC power and control infrastructure for buildings that solves all the limitations wireless and AC powered solutions struggle to overcome. Efficiency and eWaste reduction is just the start. Simplicity, price, and reduced obsolescence make it attractive to builders. It improves compatibility between vendors and versions, and allows building technology to evolve almost as quickly as software. Start with reliable and efficient lighting to get the infrastructure installed, but that's just the beginning... It enables AI in buildings by including a tiny bit of control into every powered device. It enables demand management to help the grid transition to renewables. And it allows 5G to work indoors. LumenCache is the evolution of power and control inside buildings.

LumenCache CEO. Build all homes and offices Smart from the Start. DC power & control infrastructure for new buildings.

Everyone knows about the "Lumen" part of LumenCache (lighting). But what about the "Cache" part? Power grid outages can leave you in the dark, and battery systems and generators large enough to handle 100% of the house load are expensive. But there's a way #builders can deliver sufficient comfort, security, and #storm #resilience in every home for under $1800--installed. LumenCache Batttery Energy Storage System (BESS) not only delivers continuous reliable power to lighting, USB charging outlets, and ventilation, it provides an integrated control layer to make the best use of the smaller storage capacity. Imagine offering this convenience as a 15 minute upgrade to any ReNetA system. Step 1: Mount battery to wall Step 2: Plug in battery and CAN communication bus to PowerPlane. Step 3: Press On button. No complex setup required. Adding capacity is also a snap by simply attaching up to 10 batteries, delivering 50kWh of capacity if extended runtime is needed. Batteries are a complex product, and safety is our top priority. While interviewing factory partners, I finally found one that meets all the criteria. Firstly, they work with several top brands you would definitely recognize. Their QC and safety labs are unparalleled. And they have a cooperative team so we can achieve the integration capabilities without compromise. The two classes by Clifton Stanley Lemon and David Wilds Patton on lighting design and lighting controls are outstanding. Just enough details to get you on the right path, and goes quickly enough to be worth the time. Definitely attend or watch this AFTER you watch some videos and learn about LumenCache. You'll have a completely different class experience knowing how all the challenges and hurdles of AC #lighting #controls are solved, and how easy it is to implement all their great lighting design ideas using ReNetA. I'll try to get at least one demo video out before circulating the ReNetA Experience Kits next month. Inside the small case will be everything you need. A single instruction sheet will tell you all you need to know. This should do: "Don't Panic! Plug it in and follow instructions on the display. LumenCache: Harmless."

I saw some YT videos yesterday about #Smarthome #Wiring and it struck me just how complex AC lighting really is compared to DC, and in particular-- LC. 2 way, 3, way, 4 way switches instead of just one switch type. Even more SKUs if you want dimmers, plus they need to be tested for compatibility with the AC drivers. And Tunable White is only available at the expensive end of the custom install spectrum, unless you do wireless. But all the videos had the same thing to say about wireless: "works great when it works." Like, Comment, and Forward the link if you want to see more builders Make all new homes Smart from the Start. What differentiates LumenCache from the rest of the DC lighting pack? Hint: adapts to any voltage and protocol standard per port, any trade can install, price is within budget. Lots of compatible products and growing partner list. ReNetA schedule: https://lnkd.in/ggJ6J6AB

The last order of 750 LibRE L3-SIB-P's went into production this week. These are mostly used for Tuneable White lights with Cool and Warm LED arrays. Any guess what the new red jumper does? Hint: How do we connect AC style bulb sconces, pendants, and chandeliers? These SIBs (and the L3-WK-D switches) are compatible with ReNetA, so hop in today if your projects are suitably timed: https://lnkd.in/ggJ6J6AB

    1. Few startups last longer than their warranty. Visit Legacy.lumencache.com for proof. 2. While you're there, visit the ReNetA site to see the future of lighting and controls. 3. Visit the forum and start your first project: https://lnkd.in/ggJ6J6AB 4. We're super serious about re-use, and reducing unnecessary labor and waste (including marketing stuff).

I had not heard the term "Skeuomorphic" but that's exactly what we were shooting for. It's critical to "bridge the gap" when transforming an industry, otherwise there's too many holes to fill in at the same time. Even the wall panel looks like a typical AC breaker panel. Thanks Bart Kelly for this observation and education!

Inside a standard low voltage enclosure, you can connect the LumenCache PowerPlanes and AC/DC power regulators in various configurations to meet every application. Here's just a few common configurations for 600-1000W supplies. See the product mix at www.ReNetA.lighting Snap One SnapAV are preferred enclosures.

A few weeks ago I posted a peek at the LumenCache Construction Bulbs. The post received over 90,000 impressions. For comparison, my posts get about 300 on average. So I'll release another peek at the other side of the construction lighting toolkit: a 240W 12-24V input construction power adapter supporting two construction PDMs with 8 ports each. Plug this into one of those EcoFlow or BLUETTI batteries and you're lit for days. You can even attach one of those DEWALT or Milwaukee Tool battery adapters if you need lights on in a pinch. Of course it's smart, so you can limit the power as needed to make it last. The construction lights even work with the wall switches, so you can test all the wiring works and swap in the finish phase fixtures in minutes. They even work with the PowerPlane so you can click them in there once you have AC power to your jobsite.
