We’re excited to announce that the interest list for Ventana al Sur, our newest affordable housing community for seniors 62 years and over, is now open to prospective applicants! Ventana al Sur, a community by MAAC and Kingdom Development, is located in the San Ysidro Historic Village District, and will offer 1- and 2-bedroom affordable rental units with energy-efficient kitchen appliances, and central heating and cooling. Onsite amenities will include community spaces, a computer room, courtyards and observation decks, parking garage, laundry rooms and elevator service on each floor, and friendly onsite staff dedicated to making your residential experience enjoyable. The new Computer Lab at the Seniors on Broadway Affordable Housing Community has opened! 🎉 Funded generously by AT&T, this initiative marks a significant step in bridging the digital divide and ensuring digital inclusion for all. The ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrated the grand opening of the lab, which includes 12 laptops and four docking stations, complete with monitors and keyboards. Residents can check out laptops for personal use and access the internet and other digital services from Wi-Fi access points across the property. Additionally, MAAC staff and MAAC Community Charter School students will offer technical support, software installations, monthly workshops, and personalized assistance to empower seniors with the digital skills they need. Special thanks to San Diego County Board of Supervisors Chairwoman Nora E Vargas, Chula Vista Mayor John McCann, and Christine Moore AT&T Director of External Affairs for their support and inspiring remarks at the ceremony!
