    A tip from our founder Christina Salerno ✨ Wondering how to better #empower your team to take action and own responsibilities? Recently my focus has been on up-leveling the amazing team members at Magical Teams. One concept I've been walking them through when they feel stuck to take action is that it's important they know the following 3 levels for their responsibilities, projects, and tasks: 1 - What is the goal or outcome? What needs to be achieved? They need to have the direction in mind so they can drive things forward and navigate obstacles on the path towards the aligned results. It also ensures they actually deliver on what is needed. Goal: Share more of my thoughts onto LinkedIn. 2 - What does "done" look like? How do they know the goal has been achieved? If they don't define this, then projects can get trapped in a cycle of limbo, uncertainty, "waiting" on dependencies, or not fully completed. Done: Writing a post at least monthly, up to a stretch goal weekly. 3 - What are the action steps towards achieving 1 & 2? This is what it actually looks like for them or others to make it happen. The actions might be known in advance, but often can become emergent as they move projects forward. Actions: Create a recurring weekly task in our PM tool. Observe my conversations and experience for ideas. Carve out space to write. Publish to LinkedIn. They know at least pieces of the above, but without the whole picture they likely will get stuck along the way or only complete something partially. They could feel paralyzed and not even sure where or why. They may want to reach out for help, but don't know how. Especially if they care about performing well, then they might be suffering in silence trying to put effort into problem solving without getting results. It's our job as #leaders to provide them "1", guide them to define "2", and NOT get in the way of "3". Empowerment looks like providing the outcome and holding them #accountable to it. Provide feedback and guidance along the way while not stepping on their toes. Helping them feel safe to stretch, learn from their mistakes, and take #ownership. ✍ Share in the comments: what's your approach to empowering your team to take ownership?
