Thank you to Jessica Heygate and Campaign US for discussing the newest edition of our Media Responsibility Index (MRI 5.0) with our EVP of Impact Investment, Elijah Harris .
MRI 5.0 assessed social media and, for the first time, programmatic platforms on how they are addressing crucial issues within the industry, from brand safety, to sustainability, to mis/disinformation, and more. The purpose of the MRI is to influence continued industry progress through actionable data and insights and meaningful engagement, ultimately benefitting the platforms’ communities, audiences, and advertisers.
Eli stressed the importance of encouraging platforms to focus on impactful actions. He stated that the “overall ambition we have for these partners is to improve upon their own performance year over year” and noted that “the technology and infrastructure exist to start solving problems” like identifying manipulated media.
