Today at MANNA, we celebrated the Annual Steven H. Korman Day of Caring - a day to honor Steven H. Korman, who is a Philadelphia Philanthropist and Chairman of MANNA’s Advisory Board. In celebration of his leadership and dedication to our organization for more than 20 years, Steve was joined by his close friends, family members, and coworkers for a volunteer shift in the MANNA kitchen where they helped to prepare: ✅ 728 chicken noodle soups ✅ 964 Stuffed Flounders ✅ 770 Western Omelettes for our clients battling critical illness. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so wonderful. We can’t wait for the next one! 💙

I'm very excited to have been selected to serve on the #Coding4Food #MedicallyTailoredMeal Workgroup, led by the Gravity Project, on behalf of MANNA (Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance)! This work group will help to define standard HCPS codes for #MTMs and other #FoodisMedicine interventions, to allow for easier tracking, billing, and evaluation of #FIM interventions, and open the door for full integration into the healthcare system.

We have the BEST volunteers! Thank you Rachel Rothbard from Coldwell Banker and the Jefferson Avenue Insurance & Financial Services LLC for joining us in the kitchen and helping to nourish our neighbors in Philly!
Saluting Rachel Rothbard, the top producer at Coldwell Banker, who came out with us to the recent MANNA (Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance) event to help volunteer. Although we haven’t worked directly with her before, Rachel's name often comes up as a great resource and respected professional in real estate - and it’s clear to see why. It was a pleasure to finally meet her and see her in action.

Incredible news! We're celebrating the advancement of H.R. 8816, The American Medical Innovation and Investment Act — which contains an updated version of H.R. 6780, the Medically Tailored Home-Delivered Meals Demonstration Pilot Act — to the floor of the House of Representatives. This is a tremendous moment for #foodismedicine and a big step forward in expanding access to Medically Tailored Meals (MTMs) to those who need them! Special thanks to Congressman Dwight Evans and Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick for their bipartisan support and work to move this bill forward.
FIMC is so appreciative of the speedy consideration and advancement of H.R. 8816, the American Medical Innovation and Investment Act, which contains an updated version of H.R. 6780, the Medically Tailored Home-Delivered Meals Demonstration Pilot Act, by the Committee today. By quickly advancing H.R. 8816 to the floor of the House of Representatives with an affirmative vote, the Committee on Ways & Means has already taken a critical step to expand access to Medially Tailored Meals (MTMs), bend the health care cost curve, and provide medically vulnerable seniors with healthy and delicious medically tailored meals in their homes. ✅FIMC urges a speedy passage of H.R. 8816 to advance equitable access to this lifesaving intervention!
