Baby Nasi was only 2 months old when all of a sudden, she stopped eating and sleeping well. With each passing day that Nasi refused to eat, her mother became even more desperate. Then, she noticed a lump on her baby’s neck. After a failed attempt at bringing Nasi to her village's traditional "healer," Nasi’s mother found her way to a MAP-supported clinic nearby. There, the doctors were able to diagnose the lump as an abscess. The doctor prayed for Nasi, drained the abscess, and then gave her some pediatric antibiotics that the clinic had received from MAP. “Within a day, baby Nasi was eating well and sleeping soundly,” said the doctor. Thanks to MAP supporters, baby Nasi was able to receive the life-saving pediatric antibiotics she couldn't have lived without. She is now eating, sleeping, and thriving like every baby should be. Back to school season? More like cold & flu season. As exciting as heading back to school is for our little ones, we all know that homework isn't the only thing they'll bring home with them. While our kids stay home sick from school eating popsicles, watching cartoons, and slurping down fruity-flavored cold medicine, many children around the world lack this privilege. While sickness affects us all, there's one great disparity that effects 2 billion people worldwide: Access to medicine. In the developing world, nearly 15,000 children under the age of five die every day. Many of the diseases they die from could be treated by a few cents worth of medicine. This cold and flu season, consider donating medicine to a child in need. To learn more about ways to give, visit https://lnkd.in/dGnN6xej.
