  • Honored to have Sgt. Maj. Carlos A. Ruiz, Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, visit Marine Corps Systems Command! While at Hospital Point, Ruiz had an in-depth discussion with our very own Sgt. Maj. Jesse J. Dorsey Jr. about the future of Marine Corps uniforms and ways to enhance them for the fleet. Keeping our Marines mission-ready is essential for overall success. Highlighting the importance of industry partnerships across the acquisition process, Ruiz addressed feedback from the fleet about standard-issue boots, noting: "We want to encourage more competition. We need more industry partners who can say, 'Hey, I can deliver uniforms that meet your requirements at a lower price.' That’s what I’m looking for SYSCOM to do: to open the door a little wider so more competitors can enter, allowing us to get a better product at a lower price. I don’t want families or Marines to have to choose between gas, child care, food, and uniforms. That’s not right, and addressing that issue is what this visit is all about." From weapons to uniforms, every detail counts. #EquippingOurMarines #Acquisition #SemperFi #MarineCorps #Leadership #MCSC #Marines

Neptune’s DevSecOps environments, BlackPearl and Marine Corps DevSecOps (formerly MCBOSS), are looking to build on their success as they plan for the future. Both environments deliver a secure platform to unify and streamline software development for the Naval community while embedding critical security measures every step of the way. Now, the following efforts are underway to implement changes that will improve existing capabilities and enable access across the DoD Enterprise: BlackPearl is shifting to a DoD-owned and operated support structure while expanding access to its capabilities as a Naval DSO offering. Marine Corps DevSecOps is making updates to provide more holistic and integrated cybersecurity to the Marine Corps and other service customers. Currently, it is conducting cost analysis to embrace Software as a Service Continuous Improvement/Continuous Development pipelines. The program is on track to maintain its accreditation by August 31, 2024. BlackPearl and Marine Corps DevSecOps are essential to the DON’s ability to develop and deliver advanced, secure capabilities for the warfighter, today and into the future. Streamlining Marine Corps Maintenance🔧 Program Manager Combat Support Systems (PM CSS) hosted a General Purpose Tools & Test Set Integrated Working Group July 15-19 at Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois. PM CSS was on the ground with representatives from I/II/III MEF and CD&I to discuss the consolidation of Tool & Test Sets used by Marine Corps Maintainers with MOS 11/13/21/28/35XX. ⚙️ The goal? To create a "common tool-test set" for all maintainers, eliminating the need for separate individual sets and driving cost savings across the board. This initiative is a huge step forward in efficiency and effectiveness for our Marine Corps maintainers!🔨 Stay tuned for more updates on how we’re improving our support systems! #EquippingOurMarines #MCSC #Marines #Maintenance #SemperFi #PMCSS
