We are thrilled to announce the newest addition to our Board of Directors, Mary McLane. Please join us in welcoming her to the Martha’s Kitchen family! Mary McLane, is a San Jose native, and is passionate about serving missions that benefit the South Bay community. Her nonprofit roles have included Executive Director of the American Heart Association, Silicon Valley Division; the Executive Director of the San Jose Public Library Foundation; and the Director of External Relations for the Ignatian Center for Jesuit Education at Santa Clara University. She received her bachelor's degree in Sociology from Santa Clara University and a master's degree in Social Psychology from Washington State University. Mary is also a longtime member of the Rotary Club of San Jose and has served on several boards, including Silicon Valley Reads and the San Jose-Ekaterinburg Sister City organization. Why Mary Joined Our Mission: "I believe all human beings deserve nutritious food not just to survive, but to flourish. Over the years, I've watched and supported Martha's Kitchen's mission to meet this community need, even as more and more families, veterans, seniors, youth and unhoused neighbors struggle to afford food. This year’s Food Fight event was a huge success, thanks to the extraordinary efforts of these amazing schools: Saint Francis High School, Valley Christian Schools (San Jose), The Harker School, Bellarmine College Preparatory, Notre Dame High School, San Jose, Saratoga High School, and Presentation High School.
