About us
Mary Lanning Healthcare, a full-service, acute care medical facility in Hastings, Nebraska, offers care in over 30 medical specialties delivered by 75 physicians on our Active Medical Staff. Additionally, care is provided by 34 Consulting and Courtesy Medical Staff members. Services available at Mary Lanning include cancer care, cardiac care, obstetric care, diagnostic imaging, inpatient and outpatient surgery and psychiatry, among many others. For over 100 years, Mary Lanning Healthcare has expanded to meet the needs of our community and region. Over the past decade, the hospital has enhanced local care through a complete cardiac catheterization lab; increased services to neighboring communities by providing medical and psychiatric services through MLMH satellite clinics; and expanded our rehabilitation facility to include cardiac and pulmonary rehab, physical, occupational and speech therapies. The facility has received national recognition through the Quest for Quality Award, presented by the American Hospital Association and the Nebraska Hospital Association's Quest for Excellence Award for advancements in quality and patient care.

When severe complications from cancer treatments put Clay Center resident Ray Nolan in the hospital, he had no idea that an answer was just a few miles from home. Nolan received help for lesions on his bladder through Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy (HBO) at the Mary Lanning Healthcare Wound Center. But before he began HBO, Nolan said he was a little skeptical. “It seemed like kind of a scary deal when I first looked at it (HBO),” Nolan said. He ended up taking 30 HBO treatments before Christmas 2023. “About halfway through, I stopped having blood clots,” he said. He finished up with 30 more treatments in January 2024. “Once I started to heal, I haven’t had any problems at all,” he said. “It worked out pretty good for me.” Nolan said the caring staff at the Wound Center helped him overcome his fears and kept him company throughout the treatments. HBO treatments made him feel “kind of like a deep sea diver” while he was in the chamber. “I can’t say a bad thing about any of the staff,” he said. “They were super nice, caring people.” These days, Ray is enjoying selling honey three days a week. “I’m fortunate,” he said. “I thank God every night for my life.” https://lnkd.in/gVCfASAr
