We are proud to announce the 2024 Mary Rutan Foundation scholarship recipients! Since 1992, Mary Rutan Foundation has awarded over $2.5 million to local scholars. These funds have supported the education of nearly 1,200 current and future health care workers. Through the generous gifts of individual contributors, bequests and memorial donations to Mary Rutan Foundation’s scholarship program, Mary Rutan Foundation is proud to give a total of $40,000 this school year to students pursuing medical careers. Today, we proudly reflect on a significant milestone in Mary Rutan Health's history. It has been 80 years since penicillin was first introduced to our hospital! In 1944, the first doses arrived in Logan County. This marked a pivotal moment in our journey to advance patient care. This introduction of one of the first forms of antibiotics not only helped transform healthcare in Logan County, but also solidified our hospital's commitment to excellence and innovation. As we celebrate this legacy, we honor our strong roots in Logan County and the countless contributions of our dedicated staff, past and present.
