Hy Edelman, one of Maslon's founding partners in 1956, served as a board member for Mt. Sinai Hospital and on then-Minneapolis Mayor Hubert Humphrey's Council on Human Relations, which drafted the first city ordinance prohibiting discrimination on the basis of race, creed, or color. We had the pleasure of welcoming his son, employment and civil rights attorney Dan Edelman, to the office to share stories of his father and the prominent cases he worked on.
