Building a new school or renovating an existing one is an exciting process for an entire community. It’s also an opportunity to transition to #cleanenergy, build with sustainable materials, and design with the health of students and teachers in mind. That’s why I was so excited to join Rep. Jeffrey Roy and school officials at Tri County Regional Vocational Technical High School in #FranklinMA earlier this week! The school offers 16 career programs ranging from HVAC to automotive technology, and serves approximately 1,000 students from #FranklinMA, #MedfieldMA, #MedwayMA, #MillisMA, #NorfolkMA, #NorthAttleboroMA, #PlainvilleMA, #SeekonkMA, #SherbornMA, #WalpoleMA, and #WrenthamMA. Tri-County is in the early stages of planning a new school building, and we had a great conversation about how the new facility can be built as sustainably as possible. A special thanks to Peter McPhee and Thomas Chase from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center’s High-Performance Buildings team for sharing their expertise!
